The Steam and several chemicals compounds present in the atmosphere can attack the polymers in the Bullet Resistant Glass, specially the Polycarbonate, affecting the material properties and exposing at risk the glass ballistic and optical resistance. When temperature goes down, lower than 0°C is common to see that the ice gets stuck on the windows. When it's snowing the ice tends to be deposited in the windows, thus an ice layer start to grow until the vision is blocked partially or fully. This situation becomes uncomfortable and risky. In response to his problem, AGP has offers heating systems with Tungsten thread devices imperceptible to the naked eye.

In order to improve optics, appearance and response speed, AGP developed HEATPLEX®, a completely transparent heating system that defrost the Buller Resistant Glass faster than the previous technology.

HEATPLEX® uses a top of the line optics technology to deposit invisible metallic coatings on glass ans polymers. Thus, it can be divided in two different features: HEATPLEX® Glass and HEATPLEX® Film.
