More than 20 renowned automobile manufacturers rely daily on the know-how of our 7 high-tech production plants and innovation centers, which now employ a total of over 4,000 people. Due to the ambitious growth of the organization, we wish to strengthen the team in Belgium with a AVO Supervisor.
The AVO supervisor makes decisions and takes actions that get the best yield, best quality, lowest cost possible and to protect the line integrity. The goal is a product delivered on time and in spec to the customer requirements, with the greatest profit possible to the company. The AVO supervisor needs to demonstrate a solid work ethic through diligent effort, availability, physical involvement, good decision-making, engaging operators/technicians with the work, and improving the operations.

• You inspire good performance and keep objectives & priorities in the forefront of thinking for all employees. You promote the motivation, participation and innovation of the entire team involved.
• You interact with employees regulary spending time listening to concerns and suggestions, observing operations, and checking data. You ask questions, build relationships, and identify areas to target for improvement.
• You comply with the quality specifications established by the client and by the organization.
• You operate the equipment according to production standards.
• You comply with performance indicators established by the organization (Uptime, Yield, OEE) in the development and industrialization of the product or project.
• You explore the technical resources of processes.
• You recommend the implementation of technical changes and continuous improvements.
• You comply with process developments objectives, in accordance with the expectations and values of the company complying with the established safety quality and organization standards.
• You document the activities during the working hours.
• You maximize the assertiveness of product/project developments optimizing time, costs and quality.
You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in technical studies or have relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment. You have a strong knowledge of the equipment and production process.
You are able to explain the employee handbook and company policies.
You have experience as a supervisor managing a team of operators. You have a hands-on approach on supporting the operators/technicians.
You are willing to work in a rotating 3 shift system (morning: 6.30 am – 2.30 pm; afternoon: 2.30 pm – 10.30 pm; night: 10.30 pm – 6.30 am) You are available off shift for meetings or assignments.
You are fluent in English and have a basic knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
