Due to the ambitious growth of the organization, we wish to strengthen the team in Evergem with a Logistics Supervisor.
The Role
As a logistics supervisor you will coordinate the logistics activities related to warehouse operations, where you will be supporting the warehouse operator and the forklift drivers to reach the defined logistics targets and KPI’s.
Responsibilities
• You are responsible for leading, coaching and motivating the logistics employees in the warehouse and make sure there’s a good working atmosphere in the shop floor.
• You conduct evaluation interviews for both fixed and temporary employees and provide a training plan for the team.
• You organize the logistics environment in the field, monitor activities and delegate tasks and responsibilities. You organize the warehouse, monitor the processes and ensure the compliance of procedures and inventory accuracy.
• You lead and participate in improvement projects and stimulate a culture of continuous improvement. You escalate risks in a timely manner and work together with other departments (transport planning, production, HSE, quality, HR...) to achieve an optimal result.
• You are in charge of the decision making process regarding warehouse operation, goods reception, shipments, production feeding, internal movement, ERP figures related warehouse processes and provide business support information on inventory, storage capacity and forklift capacities.
Requirements
You have experience in a similar position in leading a team in a logistical environment (warehousing, inventory, transportation…)
You have a thorough knowledge of logistics/supply chain processes and have experience in the management of logistics indicators.
You have a good knowledge of safety, quality, hygiene and environment.
You work fluently with MS Office; previous experience with SAP (or ERP) is a plus.
You have an excellent knowledge of English; a good knowledge of Dutch is a bonus.
You work in the day shift from Monday until Friday.
