Due to the ambitious growth of the organization, we wish to strengthen the team in Evergem, Gent and Roeselare with a Production Planner
The Role
Manage the correct Plant planning activity, optimizing the batch sizes as a function of warehousing and working capital targets as well as production KPIs
Supervise a cautious management of production planning resulting inventories, aiming to excellent quality service to users, respecting the procurement, production KPIs, as well as local distribution and international dispatch plans of all the company's products.
Cooperate with Supply Chain and Procurement Senior Manager in his interaction with production, finance and commercial Teams.
Support the improvements proposed by the Logistics Management
Responsibilities
• Personally leads the decisions making process on the following topic:
Planning - Demand requirements basis for manufacturing “Production Planning”.
• Production orders
• Guarantees Business Support Information on the following topics:
Plant capacity (short, mid and long term);
Customers call-off status (variance)
• Avoid running into backlogs situation vs Customer by integrating and driving the production planning
• Manage and optimize Stock level (WIP + Semi-finished + Finished products) by integrating and driving the production planning
• Requests to SCM and Plant manager to introduce NMI trial / samples in the line;
• Ensures continue Production control to different Business reporting lines (Managing Director, Operations Manager).
• Work in accordance with the HSE, quality and environmental procedures and policies and instructions, whether documented or not, and their specific responsibilities.
• Report problems or suggestions for improvement in the application of the environmental management system or deviations related to environmental issues to their supervisors.
Requirements
You have a similar experience as a production planner in an industrial environment. Experience in the automotive industry is a strong asset.
A higher degree in a technical direction is a plus but not a requirement.
You have an excellent knowledge of English; a good knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
You have a thorough knowledge of Excel; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
You are stress resistant, work in a structured way and you can easily communicate with your interlocutors at different levels.
