This position's main purpose is to work in a laboratory characterizing new materials and devices, designing experiments to test their performance, and finding and executing solutions to integrate said materials and devices into glass constructions to create systems that allow users to digitally control the light coming into the vehicle.
1) Continuous and active learning of the fundamental principles and science behind switchable devices.
2) Expand the innovation portfolio of the company by applying their own expertise, creativity, and energy.
3) Hands-on participation of sample cataloging, preparation, and characterization.
4) Collaborate with technicians, trainees, and engineers to carry out experiments.
5) Report results in a timely and accurate manner to upper management.
6) Support Manufacturing and Quality efforts proactively to improve processes and troubleshoot issues.
Master or Ph.D degree in mechanical engineering, material science, materials engineering, chemistry, physics or related fields
Hands-on experience with instrumental characterization techniques such as: mechanical tests, spectrophotometry, optics, electrical properties
Fluent English proficiency level.
Experience with electronic devices and basic concepts of electrical circuits
Knowledge of polymeric materials science and technology.
