AGP group wins “Corporate Creativity 2018”, an award which recognizes the most outstanding innovative projects of the country. AGP eGlass division was awarded for its high-tech glass products for electric and autonomous cars that contribute to the worldwide mobility revolution.
Lima, 23rd of November 2018: AGP Group was recognized in the 23rd edition of the Corporate Creativity Awards organized by the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), along with El Comercio, Canal N and RPP, in the following 3 categories: International Impact, Intermediate Products and Services and Client Service, and finally presented with the coveted awards for Big Company and Great Award of Corporate Creativity to end the night.
AGP´s glass tradition started in 1965 in Lima, Perú, with its vision of having a world-class product and competing in international markets since its beginnings. Throughout its history, AGP has developed high added value business units in the glazing industry and focused its efforts on being close to its customers and developing its people with an efficient manufacturing base in South America with modern plants in Peru, Colombia and Brazil.
In 2014, with a clear vision of becoming a leader in specialty glass, AGP created a new business unit: AGP eGlass with a value proposition aligned to the new trends of the automotive industry. In just 9 months, the first plant of AGP eGlass was built with leading technology. Since then, this plant has produced the largest windshield in the history of passenger vehicles for a leading electric vehicle manufacturer in the United States.
Today AGP eGlass has become a strategic ally of the main car brands worldwide to make their first electric and autonomous vehicles a reality. Therefore, it has expanded its global presence with manufacturing plants in Belgium and technology centers in Germany and the United States. This way, AGP will be closer to its customers, using the first plant in Lima, Peru as a technology and talent base platform.
